Just spend 2 nights here. What an awesome place. The sites a huge and the place is just so relaxing. Not crowded at all. Had a paddle in the lake and the water was nice and refreshing. Midgies were a bit full on in the evening but Mangrove Magic or bushman's sorted that. Water for the van is via a shared tap so take a long long hose or jerry cans to refill your tanks. Will definately have a longer stay next time.

B0R6Y ADVENTURES

Well, a 2 week adventure with no plans and 2 kids from the Gold Coast, we decided to spend a couple of nights here as our first stop. The kids had a ball swimming in the lake and paddling on a kayak with a lovely man made beach style entry point into the lake. Spent a day on the river deck fishing with the kids which backs on to the Burrum River. Caught a few good fish and a couple of Mud crabs in the pots. Made the young fella's day! even seen a big turtle pop his head up to say hello. Toilets and amenities were tip top spotless and we'll maintained. Not overly busy at all midweek, which made for a peaceful and enjoyable stay! Very friendly staff and a pleasure to talk to. Will be back again soon!

Our first time here & I am sure we will be back. Yesterday (Saturday) there were families with kids having a ball in the water. Very quiet and peaceful overnight. Today most of the families departed and it is quiet, very hot but a nice breeze keeping it pleasant. At $35 a night for 2 adults it is not cheap for unpowered site but there is a clean portaloo nearby, water available and plenty of space between sites, so much better than any caravan park. The only downside is there is no shade, but that's what awnings are for. Sitting here looking at the water and listening to the birds is a relaxing way to spend the day.
