Stayed two nights. We have a self contain caravan. Parked next to camp kitchen. Lots of permanent people. Seen resident dogs as they run free. I kept ours in as much as possible because I didn't know if they would be ok with our dog. They bark while I tried to walk ours.. And not being on leads worried me. As many have said toilet and showers are old and well used by permanent residents. A portable unit. One wash machine works others said out of order. Camp kitchen was clean and pleasant. At first site when arriving I thought no. But after seeing the site next to kitchen and it blocked out the rest of the run down look. Owner is working on office building . 20 a night powered. Suggest stick to site by camp kitchen.

We are staying in Calen a bit up the road, and there's no Dump point in the town. Jolimont Caravan park owners let us use theirs for free. Thanks guys!

We phoned this park and enquired about a drive through site and was told that they had one down the back. This area was full of permanents in run down accomodation and it looked and felt like an apocalyptic scene from a Mad Max movie. It was certainly not indicative of the pictures on WikiCamps and we did not feel comfortable at all, in fact this is the worst experience we have ever had in a CP. We would have preferred to be told that they were booked out. Three years on the road and we still made the rookie mistake of paying prior to checking the park out and where we were to be placed. It may have been better down the other end of the park. We left and went to the pub down the road.
