Horseshoe Bay Resort and Caravan Park, is situated at the tip of Cape Edgecumbe here in Bowen. A special little spot where the sun rises and sets over the water, and the bay is never dry.The resort is surrounded by four sandy beaches and the reef is just off shore making for some amazing snorkelling and diving - it has been said to be as good as the great barrier reef. All sites are powered and in a bush setting. Sites vary in size with some able to take a coach. Sites with spectacular water views are numbered and very popular... get in quick for these.

What a gem of a caravan park. We were on site 45 with ocean views, cool breezes and the bush behind us. The park is well maintained and the owners have created a lovely park vibe. 3 magnificent beaches within walking distance and a brilliant cafe between the beach and the resort. Booked for 3 nts, stayed 7 nts. We will definately be back at some point.

Asked for a discount since we are staying 14 days. Was told they gave the best price. Worked out we are paying $46 a night. $322 a week. We have a small glimpse of the water, but not impressed with the state of the pool. Looks like it needs alot of maintenance. Amenities not flash either. Considering we've just come from Rollingstone at $207 for a week with a sea view this certainly doesn't compare. But I have to say this is a good area. I think its over the top considering it's not peak session. Our Facebook travel page is 2justdoinit. Full time travellers. Most expensive caravan park soo far on this coast.
