We booked for 2 days but stayed for 3 after being able to hitch a ride on the Savannahlander to Einasleigh, it was an amazing train trip. Forsayth tourist park is a fantastic place to stay, Kelly is a beautiful person from the get go. The park amenities are first class, big shady trees, water and power. The 42kms from Georgetown is a beautiful two lane bitumen road until the .... 7km of gravel road, which is divided into 3 short bursts! This gravel is currently very corrugated! But don't let the road put you off visiting this fantastic little town and the surrounding areas.

Have just stayed for 3 nights allowing time to complete the tours of Cobbold Gorge and Copperfield Gorge at Einasleigh. Arrived to find no power available as entire region blackout, but Kelly and Ian helped us, and everybody else, through the time until it was restored. Great little park, well maintained and obvious that improvements were ongoing. Took the Cobbold tour ex Forsayth and so pleased we did because the car had already been battered from the short 7km of unsealed road along an otherwise sealed road from Georgetown. Apparently this is an ongoing issue with decision to be made as shire and government can't agree on outcome! Cannot recommend this park enough. And with Kelly and Ian being caravan owners themselves they are aware what the traveller needs. Definitely one to recommend.

Great park , Kelly was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Amenities were spotless , showers were good considering the hot water is from a wood fired donkey. Pub is great, the park across the road has great tree carvings. the road from Georgetown is probably 50% tar and the dirt not to bad. I would suggest staying here as the road to Cobbold Gorge is fairly rough and rocky.
