Description

The Widgee Recreation Grounds offer powered sites for $20 per camp per night, unpowered sites for $12 per camp per night, suitable for campers, caravans and motorhomes. Payment can be left in envelopes found in the amenities block and placed in the provided slot in rear of restaurant door. The camp sites are managed by our volunteers from Widgee District Hall & Recreation Assn Inc. Stays are limited for 3-4 days unless an event is on. For example, Bush Balladeers early Oct, Widgee Bushman's Carnival Campdraft early May, Widgee Country Music end of every 2 months. Please do not use airconditioners on powered sites. Bookings can be made by calling Vicki on 0493563862. Toilet and shower facilities are available. Dump Point located nearby at Marg McIntosh Park. Please note water is creek water and is not suitable for drinking. Bar and meals available Friday and Saturday nights. Widgee General Store across the road for other times (closes at 3pm Sunday afternoons). Pets are welcome on a leash but not in food or bar areas. This is a community sports and recreation grounds shared with live music events, local horse riding, ponyclub, campdrafters, barrel racing, endurance rides and Dog trials. Ponyclub runs from February to November 2nd and 4th Sundays.
