Two and a half poms

This Free camp is one of the most beautiful spots to camp. We towed in a 19.6ft off road van. It was to be honest a bit tight, but once we had seen the beautiful views we knew we were going to attempt it! Not too many sites here. We arrived lunchtime on Saturday and got the last space. Quite a lot of shade. A stones throw from the beach. Getting here was 100km of corrugated Road. you really should let your tyres down and have an off road van. Boat ramp, 10min drive from here. Mozzies are awful. we had a 3x3m mozzie tent we used and practically lived in when not on the beach. Mozzies don't bother with the breezy beach!

We brought in a little Jayco Swift pop up caravan behind a Prado. Could get any car with decent clearance in here really, as long as you know how to drive - just buy a cheap tyre deflator and air compressor from BCF and let your tyres down to around 25psi on the drive into stanage - makes ALL the difference to the corrugations - just take it easy ie 60km/h Watch out for the huge trucks doing about 100km/h pumping up huge amounts of dust. Then inflate your tyres with the compressor after you get back out of stanage. Lots of mozzies yes, Good tip for caravan owners - put some gaffa tape or some protective thing around your water tank release tap - ours got smashed by a rock on the way in and we lost all our water! Too good not to come to at least once. We may still be here when you arrive

Unbelievable camp spot right next to a pristine beach with views of the headland & islands. This is a little piece of paradise if you can cope with the mosquitoes and have your own toilet facilities. Stayed for 3 night but could have gone longer. Worth the 100km gravel track
