Description
OK Time to be serious!!
Our 'perfectly imperfect' farm has to take break from sharing our fun times with caravanners, campers & swaggers (is that a camping term?).
I'm not getting the paperwork done in time for council- so we're forced to SHUT DOWN the overnight stays etc until I can catch up.
We will still be having our 'Open Days', Group visits etc - but from 20/4/2022 Livingstone Shire Council will not have an overnight Farm Stay . We'll let you know when we're back up and running
In May 2021, 'Prado Downs' officially became the new home to Shiralee Clydesdale Stud and farm stay.
The campsites are nestled along the creek where there are no midges or sand flies (we do get mosquitoes though). There are open lawn area and kids play ground. Drinkable bore water is available.
Construction is underway to provide tank water to the campers as well as a camp kitchen. The flushing toilets & Showers are up and running. While you're here, help feed the horses or pat the foals. This campground is Only 15 minutes drive to Rockhampton (8km to store) - Or is a perfect stop off if you are on your way to Emu Park Beach.

This is such a great place! Wayne is such a lovely, genuine bloke, and so helpful. The kids loved all the animals, and being there for the open days was a real treat. Thanks so much!

Stopped here a few nights. Wayne was super helpful and a down to earth good bloke. As per other comments ammenities we're basic, however they are continuing making improvements. Only suggestion is for guests to pick up after there dog poop, especially on pathway to the showers/toilets, also it would help the owners grow their clientele. Thumbs up from us.

Was planning to stay but when we arrived around 8 dogs came charging up to the car and wouldn't leave us be. Our dog was really not ok with being surrounded so we left and found somewhere much nicer.
