Description
The designated camping area at Ocean Beach is 16km north of the beach access point on North Street, Woorim and is accessible by four-wheel drive only. Camp sites just behind the dunes are accessible from defined track entrances. Toilets, screened cold showers and water taps (not suitable for drinking) are provided at the camping area accessed by track 'P'. Please use these facilities or bring your own portable enclosed toilet system. A portable toilet waste disposal point is located on access 'P' near the toilet. Fires are permitted in the fire rings in the group trailer and camping area.
Camping permits are required and fees apply. Book in advance. A tag with your booking number must be displayed at your camp site. A vehicle access permit must be purchased and displayed on your vehicle windscreen before driving in the national park and recreation area. You can enter the national park and recreation area from the northern end of White Patch Esplanade or from the Eighth Avenue carpark off North Street, Woorim.
There are 63 numbered, unpowered camp sites. Camp sites are suitable for tent camping beside your car; walk-in camping and camper trailers.
Zone 2 camp sites offer mid to high social setting with clusters of campsites in reasonably close proximity. Encounters with other campers will occur. Camp sites are defined with post and rails. Toilet facilities are provided for use by campers. Bush toileting in this zone not permitted. All camp sites are numbered. Fires are permitted only in fire rings provided. Defined access and exits from this camping node, including one way traffic flows. Generators are not permitted in this zone.
Pets are not permitted.
