Lakeside camping south of the boat ramp at Lake Proserpine commenced Oct 2019. Since July 2021, a small fee applies which includes the use of amenities (toilets & warm showers). As of 1st July 2023, the fee is $10.00 per adult, per night. All guests MUST check-in at the kiosk upon your arrival prior to finding campsite. Following your check-in, you may find your way to your camping location. Walk-in booking service, Monday - Saturday 9am - 5pm, Sunday - 9am - 4pm There are two camping areas which consist of 150 sites. The back area at the rear of the kiosk which is a little more bush and closest to toilets & showers and the front area nearer to the lake, but a slightly longer walk to the toilets & showers. Grey water to be contained when camping frontwards of the property in containment tank/bucket/tub & can be disposed of at the rear of the kiosk. When camping at the back area of the property behind the kiosk, grey water can be disposed of directly into the ground. This applies to all forms of camping. The PMF (Probable Maximum Flood) level determines where grey water can be disposed of on site so as not to pollute the soil & town water. An exclusion zone for camping/vehicle access/boat launch is along the foreshore of the dam due to an invasive weed & sign posts mark out the boundary line. Wash down bays are on site for vehicles to mitigate the risks of spreading Mimosa Pigra. Pets to be on a short leash at all times. Generators are allowed with time limits in accordance with EP Regulations. Monday-Friday 7am-8pm. Saturday And Sunday 8am-8pm. Nearest dump point is, Anzac Road in Proserpine. Nearest potable water is, Proserpine.
