Description

The Council Campground is located, next to the beach; only 5 minutes stroll from the Jetty and is managed by the Fitzroy Island Resort. It has approximately 20 tent sites, a very modern and stylish shower block, beachfront BBQs and pergola cover for eating areas. Campers need to supply their own equipment. The camp sites are at least 6 x 6m large and are generously spaced. Fitzroy Island Resort manages the campground on behalf of the Cairns Regional Council. Consumption of alcohol, the use of generators and the lighting of fires is not permitted.
