Free bush camping beside picturesque Lake Francis, a billabong on the Georgina River, south of Camooweal Town.
There are no facilities, campers must be self sufficient. Take all rubbish with you and leave no trace. Biodegradable soaps only.
PLEASE ensure that there hasn't been any recent or forecast for rains it turns the area and roads to a swamp and many got bogged and stuck for days.
There are no toilet facilities at this site.
Dump Point and Potable water available in Camooweal.
No boats, canoes etc due to bird haven.
Head south down a short gravel road, off of the Barkley Highway (A2), west of Camooweal. (After the crossing Georgina River if heading from Camooweal).
Telstra Phone reception is available.
