Description

Boondooma Homestead was the centre of the original Boondooma Station, which was settled in 1846 by three young Scotsmen. It was originally bounded by the hill east of Proston, Brovinia Creek to the north, Darr Creek to the south, and the Dividing Range to the west a total of nearly 1,000 square miles. As Boondooma Homestead is on the north-west gateway to and from the South Burnett region, travellers find it a convenient place to stop and enjoy the peace and quiet. Natural grass sites in an historical setting are available for tourists. Time limits apply. Toilet facilities are available, however there are no showers. Pets are allowed if they are kept under control. Overnight camping fees are payable to the resident Caretaker.
