We had some time to kill so did the short drive out to the old house. It looks like just an abandoned house. Would like an info board to explain its history. We did enjoy the drive out. The river crossings were dry though. Stopped at Jim Jim Billabong boat ramp on the way out - nice spot.

Nice little 4WD in along the creek, old building and a nice creek(no swimming for crocs). Just a nice little outing drive. Saw kangaroos and buffalo have been through the area.

There's a book about these two - her in particular sold at Kakadu lodge shop in Jabiru. Very Interesting history of early "white" settlement and opening up of area in 60s but probably not "woke" or politically correct for Nat Parks to preserve or post any info on that history of Kakadu these days. But it did happen and should be preserved or at least noted at the old house.
