Did the loop today (29-may) towing a 18" off road van. Went from kings canyon to West Mac. Tyres down to 25psi all round. Road is rough but doable if you drive to the conditions and are prepared. First 1/3 is corrugated with an ave speed of 50kms Middle 1/3 is pretty bad. Has plenty of corrugations and bull dust washouts which are marked so take it easy and you will miss them. - Worst part of the track. Ave 50kms Last part is nicer. Smaller corrugations and less bull dust holes. Speed Ave. 70kms Took us atleast 3 hours on the dirt to get to the bitumen turn off at Namatjira dr. Plenty of firewood along the track when not in the national parks to collect if needed. Ig. Wanderingglampers

We have no 4wd experience and loved the road with our rented Isuzu dmax. No rain for a fue days so all dry roads. No difficulties during our trip. Sleep at Glinty's lookout. Its so nice!
