The Layfields
I'm so glad that we ventured in here. It's outstanding and without being too big or overwhelming it explains in a multi sensory way the fossil find at Alcoota Station north east of Alice Springs. Who knew that Australia had the world's largest bird once roaming the centre of the continent? Great displays & a retail area too. Oh and The Bakery Alice Springs next door is another fabulous find for coffee, sweet & savoury bakery goods & the yummiest bread!

100% worth a visit. It is free and has some interesting things to read and look at. Only small. If only remotely interested it will take 30 mins max. We spent just over an hour with three young kids.
