We were so excited to do this walk and it did not disappoint, it goes through the main two rock art sections in this region and during the walk you will see stunning sandstone formations which look like lost cities. It does contain a lot of rock hopping, if that's not your thing I wouldn't do it. Start early at 8 am when the place opens, bring plenty of water and snacks and be sun smart, it's very exposed. The park says 12km, the maps said 10km, so something like that. 6-8h they recommended is as usual quite generous, it took us 4h. We were the only hikers - felt very remote and beautiful. The trail is sometimes overgrown, but the marks are good and clear. Saw a glimpse of a black wallaro in the upper rocky area. The sign on the road says the place opens at 8am, but the lady at the visitors centre had no idea about it - we came at 7am, the gate was open and there was a couple of cars parked already.
