Bats In Creek

Point Of Interest

Victoria highway, Northern Territory

See dozens of large, black bats coming into the trees in the evening. They seem to be hunting the flying insects. Easily viewed from the bridge over the creek. Nice to check them out if you're camped in the gravel pit 200 metres to the west.

We came 16/09/21 no sign of the bats a few bare trees so maybe they moved on it's extremely hot ? One pond of water in the creek

We camped at the gravel pit and walked over at dusk to see dozens of bats. They make a lot of noise - a bit like monkeys.
