East to West 08/10, like previous comment said it's very rough up to the border and just after, for us it was the worst part. Excellent from Warakurna to Tjukayirla roadhouse with just a few pretty corrugated bits. Graders were working between Warburton and Warakurna. Then after Tjukayirla it's a bit rough again up to Giles Breakaway. Not a flash 4WD, not towing, doing 40km/h average up to the border, then 70-80km/h most of the way, playing it safe, most people were going much faster than us.

East to West today 12/09. Pretty corrugated to the NT/WA border then amazing until just after Tjukayirla Road house. Then it gets pretty rough for about 100kms on and off until the bitumen near Giles Breakway. This part was probably the worst of the whole GCR. I'm not towing and managed to sit pretty comfortably around 100km/hr most of the way. Make sure you have your permits for WA and NT, available online.
