Description
With 500 acres of land (under lease from the NT Government) right on the bank of the McArthur River, there is space for many camping options and lifestyles apart from fishing. The club is in many respects a small self sufficient township, generating it's own power, supplying good quality water from a bore and providing many of the other services you would expect in a small community.
Visitors come in all shapes and sizes. They camp here staying in caravans, camper trailers, motor homes, tents, swags and buses or utilize the various onsite accommodation options. Barramundi fishing is something that draws most of the visitors to King Ash Bay. Our waterways are full of an enormous range of species, but the Barra fishing is why they keep coming back.
Your well behaved dog is welcome, providing it is under control at all times. Cats are not permitted.

Stayed here for two nights. Plenty of room and the best setup, which you would not expect to find in the middle of no where. The dirt road leading into the park is fine. Towing a van you may want to let some air out. Has everything you need for an enjoyable rest up. The Grouper Bar and Grill is fabulous, especially Tuesday nights. The hard working girls in the bistro cook up beautiful meals and live band is a treat and puts a smile on you mouth. Well done King Ash Bay. Will come back one day.

Terrific spot other than the Jenny's . Bathroom facilities very good but no camp kitchen or bbq's available. Generator's a big problem if looking for a peaceful camping experience.
