Ruby Gap Nature Park Bush Camp

4.6 from 5 users

Ruby Gap is a park with a chequered history and was the site of the first mining rush in Central Australia. Now Ruby Gap is a remote wilderness. Camping is available between the park entrance and Ruby Gap. Access to Ruby Gap is by high clearance 4WD vehicles only. The road into the park is slow going, with some very sandy and rocky sections. The Hale River is prone to flooding after heavy rain. Leave the park immediately if it begins to rain heavily. Do not try to cross flooded creeks. Wait on higher ground until the water recedes. Camping fees apply and are payable on-site. The campsite is suitable for tents and camper trailers. There are no facilities. Firewood collection is not permitted in the park. Bins are not provided, so take your rubbish with you. Pets and generators are not permitted.

Around Mini Australia

Get away from the crowds and enjoy the serenity. Yep 4x4 required but can easily tow a camper trailer in.

Rough road in and rough track through the park. Def need high clearance 4wd and low range. Great bush camping away from the staring noisy masses. The gorge stunning. Lots of water and saw some painted firetail finches.

Challenging drive in the gorge. We lost a sidestep.. Good luck. One of the most beautiful campsites weve been to so far. Not many places you can drive into a gorge and camp there
