Probably the best gap/gorge system that we experienced in both the West and East MacDonnell Ranges. Lots of 'rubies' (garnets) can be found in the river sand.

Loved this camp spot! Probably our favourite spot in the East Macs. Would recommend to go in with a 2nd car just incase anything goes wrong, especially as it had rained a couple of days prior to going in. We have a Patrol with a lift and it got in fine, it is definitely a 4WD track, don't try go in a 2WD...

The best camp spot! Right on the edge of the river, views of the gorge, garnets everywhere in the sand, shade, camp fire. Awesome!!!!!!
