Great little spot on the eastern side of the river - not a hard track to get in - just find a spot Only ones here tonight. Preferred this camp over the camp on the northern side.

Camped 3 nights on eastern side, on the left, heading west. Nice creek - clean water but couldn't see the bottom, so didn't swim. Stayed here as we broke an axel, lost a tyre and punctured a water tank even after letting down the tyres and taking it easy! Sent word back to Hells Gate seeking help, had a visit from the Police the next day, who organised a flat bed tow truck (payment upfront). - lots of flies but kids got to see a mob being herded which was a highlight. Thank goodness for the kindness of strangers!!

We opted to camp just before Kangaroo Creek on eastern side of crossing, as this camp the western side is basically a gravel pit. Plenty of room if you have a crowd at the gravel pit and would be hot as little shade.
