Felt very lucky to be able to visit this beautiful spot. Camp ground is large and dusty but lots of room due to the limited amount of visitors allowed in. Walk up to the plunge pool is a bit tricky but well worth it to enjoy a nice swim.

Can anyone tell us how high clearance do we need and if It can be accessed with 4wd campers?

Permit does take around 7 days as noted. Key is in the front room at unmanned ranger station which is just left unlocked but very easy to access. We did a day trip and although hot today, absolutely worth the drive out there. Would love more time here to just take it all in. Be sure to walk up and over the gorge to black pool, as mentioned, the views are spectacular. Lost my brown Akubra hat while swimming at black pool, if found please return to rangers station when you return your key and let me know via this post. I would be eternally grateful! Happy travels :)
