Description
Situated near one of Kakadus most famous plunge pools, Gunlom campground is a popular location for a cool dip on a hot day.
Campground facilities provide for a comfortable stay and each morning youll wake to the call of lorikeets, honey eaters, galahs.
Sites are suitable for tents, camper trailers and caravans. 4WD recommended.
Facilities include drinking water, flushing toilets, hot showers, rubbish bins, fire pit and picnic area with BBQ. Sites are unpowered, however generators are permitted.
Pets are not permitted.

Hard to believe the Fed Govt and Nat parks would invest all those tax payers $ into stairs and not have full agreement re placement etc before they started …..and they did but suddenly the trad owners have changed their minds. No wonder Nat Parks have taken it to court to sort out. Bit like Coburg Peninsula Nat Park - still closed (2 years now)to ordinary people but commercial 4wd companies and their paying passengers allowed entry all dry season. $ are talking here. And they tell you closed for cultural reasons!
