It's the only place where you can get a cold beer after a nice day. Only trouble is, you need to show you are a resident of the compound (clearly aimed at local communties, but finding a different excuse for it), and only available as a take away between 4 and 7 pm. For goodness sake. The sun sets at 7 pm - last light 7:30 and the sunset viewing area is a good 15 min drive away. What's the point really? You already have to show you are a resident. You pay a premium for the privilege of being in the compound, and it's not like there's any other choice. Unless you drive to Alice for 4:30 hours or find some roadhouse some 100k S away. But you can have a beer on the premise. Oh that's great if you have to put kids to sleep, maybe wifey and I can take turns having drinks seperatly

Pub open. Resto closed. But pub kitchen open and you can buy meat to bbq yourself and a nice buffet with vegetables and carb. Live music in the evening. Bit pricy but we loved The venue
