The sunsets in Kakadu are unbelievable, and this evening tour gives you the opportunity to take in the marvellous sight from Ubirr, deep in the heart of the World Heritage Listed National Park.
Departing from Jabiru at 5:00 pm, you'll travel in a comfortable Toyota Prado to Ubirr. This sacred site is home to some of the finest examples of Indigenous rock art and looks out over the Nadab floodplains.
Take a walk up to the lookout, which has sweeping views across the floodplains, taking in the lush green landscapes and ancient rocky escarpments. The circuit track takes between 1 hr and 1 hr 30 mins. Once you're there, take time to enjoy the setting sun, as the orange and yellow sun rays contrast stunningly with the scenery in front of you.
Along the way, learn about Indigenous culture and deepen your understanding of this sacred land as your guide shares knowledge from his years of guiding and living in his area.
After the tour, your guide will return you to your accommodation in Jabiru.
Guests will also need to ensure they purchase a Kakadu National Park pass and carry it with them at all times.
