Rainbow Valley Bush Campsite
CampgroundDescription
Rainbow Valley has scenic sandstone bluffs and cliffs that are a photographer's delight. These are most impressive in the soft light of the morning or afternoon around sunset.
The turn-off to the Reserve is 75 kilometres south of Alice Springs
along the Stuart Highway. From here it is a 22 kilometre stretch east, along an unsealed road which has some sandy patches. For this reason 4WD is recommended, but not essential.
Camping is permitted in the two designated camping areas only. Sites are unpowered and suitable for tents, camper trailers and caravans. Facilities include communal gas and wood barbecues, picnic tables and pit toilets. Camping sites are booked online only- no phone service at reserve.
Firewood collection is not permitted in the reserve, fires are only permitted in designated fire pits.
Bins are not provided, so take your rubbish with you.
Pets and generators are not permitted.
