Isolated Limmen National Park offers a wonderful remote park experience, but you will need to be fully self-reliant when you visit. You should have enough fuel and food for your journey. There are no services for 522km between Mataranka and Cape Crawford. Closest fuel to the north of the park is the Urapunga (15km from Roper Bar) or Ngukurr (35km from Roper Bar). There are very limited fuel supplies at Limmen Bight Fishing Camp and Lorella Springs Wilderness Park. Please drive carefully. All roads within the Park are unsealed and can be closed due to seasonal flooding from November to May. Roads leading to the Park may also be affected by flooding at this time. Check Park road conditions by phoning 1800 246 199, or checking the road conditions website: www.roadreport.nt.gov.au Camping fees apply and sites must be booked and paid for online. Sites are unpowered and suitable for tents, camper trailers, caravans, motrohomes and big rigs. Facilities include toilets, hot showers, water, picnic tables, bins, gas bbq's, fire pits and dump. Only use generators between 7.30am to 8.30pm. Chainsaws are not permitted in the park. Caretaker positions are open throughout there year.
