Description

This site is located on the Finke River bend viewing the red rocks opposite. Mix of sand and stones between river gums. You may spot brumbies at night. There are no facilities, take all rubbish with you and leave no trace. This campsites is accessible by high clearance 4WD vehicles only. It is not suitable for caravans or camper trailers. Suitable for experienced four wheel drivers only. The remoteness of the this area makes planning and emergency contingencies essential. A Finke River 4WD Route information sheet is available from the Parks and Wildlife Services office in Alice Springs or from the Tourism Central Australia visitor centre.
