There is lots of space for camping and facilities which include BBQs, hot showers, laundry. Onsite caravans and self-contained cabins available at very nominal rates. The local friendly pub, named the Black Stump Hotel, has the highest bar of any pub in Australia. It is just around the corner and worth a visit. Merriwagga Caravan Park still retains much of its past history. You will find the old school bubblers still in place. The schoolhouse still has the old original blackboard with the original duster. There is old farm equipment on display throughout the park and a museum for you to peruse. The museum is now open in the Old Hut and well worth a visit to step back in-time.
