Camping sites must be booked in advance online. Spread out over 6000 acres, Turon Gates is an authentic bush hideaway, tranquil and unspoilt around 2.5 hours from Sydney where your pet is welcome. It is located in the Blue Mountains close to Katoomba, Mudgee, Bathurst & Lithgow. With well-built private rustic self-catering log cabins, glamping tents and campsites situated along 15km of crystal clear trout stream and cottages with sensational mountain views, Turon Gates is an idyllic escape in the Australian bush. Enjoy waking up to the sounds of the bush, the chatter of the birds and the animals that come to the river for a drink. Turon Gates is abound with wildlife, kangaroos, wombats, platypus, echidnas, possums and bush lizards are all part of the Turon experience! Family and pet friendly camp sites situated along the Turon River. Amenities include hot showers and washrooms, outdoor sinks with hot running water to wash dishes in. This is natural bush camping. Sites are not powered and they are not allocated. Just pick the place you like and set up your camp. We don't allow generators, chainsaws or loud music in the camping ground as it disturbs the enjoyment of other guests. There are limited 240V power points for you to blow up mattresses or charge devices.
