Pitch your tent or pull up your camper at secluded Island Bend campground, near Perisher. Big rigs can access upper camp area. It's a great base for some of the best walks, biking, fishing and kayaking in Kosciuszko National Park. There are campsites 30 unpowered sites suitable for tents, camper trailers and camping beside your vehicle. Facilities include picnic tables, barbecue facilities and toilets. Camping is free but park entry fees are payable. Island Bend campground is open all year, but you can expect low temperatures and snow fall in winter. 4WD required to access lower camp in extreme wet weather. Generators, pets and smoking are not permitted.
