Description

Camping and caravanning in the heart of the NSW Upper Hunter adventure country, Highland Adventure Hideaways are nestled in the north-western foothills of Barrington Tops, near the artful township of Murrurundi. 15 minutes off the New England Highway, Highland Adventure Hideaways offers farm-gated access directly off sealed road onto 10 acres of level, mown grass camping grounds. There is plenty of space to set up in sun or shade. All recreational vehicle types can be accommodated, including buses, fifth-wheelers, motorhomes, caravans, camper trailers and horse floats. With a safe, fenced horse yard and 32 acres of free-ranging land adjoining the campground, proffering stunning mountain views, streams and a dam, your horses and pets are most welcome to camp and explore with you. Highland Adventure Hideaways has several camping areas to choose from, each offering something unique. Highland Adventure Hideaways host camp drafting competitions, working dog trials, horsemanship workshops and various other country events throughout the year. In its off-time it is a memorable camping destination where you can still feel the echo of event excitement whilst being surrounded by the peace and natural beauty of the Australian bush. Following breath-taking sunsets, the clear night sky is blanketed by layered constellations. Drift off to sleep to the tranquil, lulling orchestra of crickets and frogs. Stay a few extra days to breathe in the sweet mountain air and truly unwind. Please note: You will need to be self-contained campers with your own toilet, shower and drinking water. There are currently no bathroom, power nor running water facilities available at Highland Adventure Hideaways. Please come well prepared to maximise your adventure hideaway enjoyment.
