Description

Bungendore Showground offers a large grassed area with plenty of shady trees for casual campers. It is suitable for tent, trailer, caravan and large rig camping. Bungendore Showground is 3kms west of Bungendore and Canberra is only 30 to 40 minutes away making Bungendore Showgrounds a convenient location to visit and explore the surrounding region. Check in is from 12.00 midday. Casual camping is available on the Showground most of the year, however, there are times when the grounds are closed to casual campers during major events such as the Bungendore Show and Country Music Muster. Phone ahead between 9am and 6pm to check availability, bookings are essential. Power and water are not guaranteed to individual sites but there are adequate power outlets available in the camping area. Drinking water is available to fill water tanks, please disconnect from water after filling tanks as there is a minimal number of taps. Toilets are available 24 hours in the brick amenities block showers are locked at 8pm. The showground is pet friendly. Pets are welcome but must be kept under control at all times. Please ensure you always clean up after your pets. Camp fires are permitted during non-fire-danger periods. All camp fires must be contained in the available fire-drums or users braziers / drums. No fires are to be lit on the ground due to the risk of spread, danger to horses and people from remnants left and possibility of fires escaping underground. No fires are to be lit under tree canopies. A dump point is available for use by anyone staying at the showgrounds. Maximum 7 nights.
