Must book before you arrive Mon to Fri. Blue Range Hut Recreation area is located in the Uriarra Forest area on Blue Range Road, 2.6 kilometers from the intersection with Brindabella Road. Centered around the heritage-listed remains of a World War II Italian internment camp, the Blue Range camp is a very popular camping and events location. You can book individually for small groups, or hire the whole area for large gatherings. There are no designated campsites. You may camp anywhere within the campground. Bookings are essential as this area is behind locked gates. Access codes will be given on confirmation of your booking. Blue Range Hut is available to hire. The hut is a very basic concrete floor, tin wall shed with an open fire place and no furniture. Although the hut is sparse, bookings are essential as it is a popular venue to hire for functions and gatherings. The barbeque under the verandah of the hut is for all campers to share. Booking the hut does not result in exclusive use of barbeque facility. Campground facilities include wood fire pits, gas barbeques, picnic tables and pit toilets. You need to bring your own firewood and drinking water. Dogs on leash are permitted. Firewood is not provided, please bring your own supply. Fires are restricted to designated fire places. You are encouraged to bring gas or fuel stoves as an alternative to campfires. Drinking water is not provided. Please bring your own drinking water with you. There are no bins provided, please take your rubbish home and recycle. Be aware that phone reception is not reliable throughout the Murrumbidgee River Corridor.
