Description

This is a Free Arts, History and Culture. Captains Flat Cemetery has about a dozen graves still visible with some searching. 1850's to its closure in the 1960s. To find monuments, go past the first signposted gate and use the larger one about 50m further on. All very overgrown but interesting. This is a great little bush cemetery in Springtime it has nice local native flowers. 4WD is needed to get up the lane but its only a 5 minute walk from the main road. You can park near the road and it’s a nice short walk in though. There are graves scattered around in the grassland and bush, so you’ll need to go looking. It can be a bit snakey, especially in summer.
