Description

A beautiful and rare remnant of upland swamp vegetation of the Fleurieu Peninsula. Due to the lack of parking or a walking trail and its fragility, the park is not promoted widely for visitation. Interested parties can visit by arrangement by contacting the Natural Heritage Manager. Fraser Reserve is near Waitpinga on the Fleurieu Peninsula. Only 6 hectares in total, Fraser is a triangular parcel of land straddling a steep-sided tributary of Waitpinga creek. Once part of the neighbouring Fraser farm, it was gifted to the Trust in 1964 by Mr J.G. Fraser. At least 175 indigenous plant species have been recorded with 35 of conservation significance. PLEASE NOTE: DOGS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN THIS RESERVE. No camping or overnight parking.
