We will be heading west tomorrow after spending a lovely 2 weeks here as a base for the area. We thoroughly enjoyed the park, did 2 sunsets up at the lookout, Emma Gorge, the Grotto, the museum and the prison tree. We spent an afternoon looking at rock art, marvelled at the bird life and spent plenty of time in the pool. We too heard the noise but expected it as there had been a death within the local mob and a wake ensued. Sharon works tirelessly to keep this park welcoming, clean and beautiful. This park was an awesome surprise in a very nice little outback town. Great supermarket, a bottle shop and the jam and cream donuts from the bakery a bit of a trap! Only issue we had in the town was that we could not get a gas refill. Would definitely stay again.

Great park - the lady at reception was very helpful & showed us the best site. Awesome views, covered with shade. We were warned that one of the locals had passed away so knew we were in for a different evening. The wake was noisy until 4am but …… there you go, respect the local culture. Camp kitchen was the best & would visit again
