Description

If you're travelling along the Stuart Highway and want to stretch your legs then Attack Creek is a good place to stop. The site is a wayside stop that pays homage to explorer John McDouall Stuart. Attack Creek commemorates where Stuart turned back from his 1860 expedition to cross Australia after a hostile encounter with Warumungu Aboriginal people. You may stay up to 24hours. When visiting the park, remember all of the following: * Stay on designated roads and tracks * Historic, cultural items and wildlife are protected. * Fires are not allowed in the reserve...use designated fire pits only. * Where bins are not provided or overflowing, please take your rubbish with you...leave no trace.
