Cape Bridgewater Coastal Camp closes seasonally during the winter months from approximately mid May and reopens end of Aug weather permitting. Please note a booking is required to check availability as it may be closed to the travelling public at other times when school camps are booked. Cape Bridgewater is about halfway between Adelaide and Melbourne on the Great Ocean Road. The village has only about 50 houses scattered in amongst the hills and tee tree around the magnificent Bridgewater Bay. Two Capes jut out from the Bay to the East and West. The beach is one of the safest surf beach in Australia, with gentle rolling waves 90% of the time. There is a small licenced Cafe situated right on the beach with superb meals. Above the beach a short 5 minute walk is the Cape Bridgewater Coastal Camp, with ocean views. The Camp has 4 types of accommodation Two fully self contained Cabins, one 2 bedroom and one 5 bedroom. Bunk accommodation in several rooms, some with ensuites. 8 powered camp sites. 14 Non powered sites. Also at the camp there is a communal camp kitchen, toilet and shower block and full laundry. No Dryer Predominantly a school camp, no public when a school is in house.
