Camp with a tent, trailer or van in the open grassy area of Glastonbury Creek camping area fringed by shady rainforest trees. Bookings are required prior to arrival. A tag with your booking number must be displayed at your campsite. Located on the south-east edge of Brooyar State Forest alongside Glastonbury Creek, Glastonbury Creek camping area is an open grassy area at the base of a hill. Main activities include exploring the surrounding forest on foot and by vehicle, abseiling nearby, relaxing, watching birds and wildlife. Note: High tension powerlines cross 40m above this camping area. Conventional vehicles, trailers, caravans and buses access is from the southern entrance. Take the Gympie-Woolooga Road and turn right into Diggins Road and onto Greendale Road. Follow the signs to the camping area, on the right just past the park entrance. This access route includes sections of unsealed roads. All other roads within the park, including the road to Point Pure lookout, are unsuitable for conventional vehicles, caravans and trailers. Sites are unpowered and not numbered. Campsites are suitable for: tent camping beside your car; caravans; camper trailers; small and large motor-homes and large groups. Generators are not permitted. Dogs are permitted but must remain under control and on a leash. Preferably bring a fuel stove. Firewood is not supplied. If you plan to use the fire rings provided you must bring your own firewood (untreated mill off-cuts). Collecting firewood from the forest is illegal. Mobile phone coverage: Generally available on ridges.
