Wild Dog Hill Walk - 15 km loop - 30 minutes return Wild Dog Hill dominates the park landscape at 90 metres high. The hill is formed from red and purple sandstone and is part of the Pandurra formation, with an age of between 1.6 and 1 billion years. Wild Dog Hill plays a significant role in the traditions of several Aboriginal groups. The site is part of stories that teach the importance of providing constant care for babies and obeying instructions. Markers along this trail describe how plants have adapted to the climate.

Loved this. If you like rock formations then you will appreciate this. Only takes 20mins or so depending on how long you want to explore. Worth the drive in our opinion.



Alternate route to Wild Dog Rock and a much better road is to head out on the Iron Knob road. At the Speedway turn right and follow this road, cross the grid and there are signs directing you to the rock.



Great views. Easy walk for kids (2+), not pram accessible. Nice info plaques to give you some information Road a little corrugated on the way in.
