Stayed here a few nights ago on the western side of the river. It is rocky riverbed so fine for a caravan. Only one other van came in that night. Heaps of wood for a fire. Very quiet. The Buchanan Highway was a bit rough but fine. Really enjoyed this spot.

Beautiful spot spoilt by everyone's rubbish but still worth finding a spot on the shade & making a cuppa!

Stayed here last night, beautiful. Buchanan Highway all good from Stuart Highway to Victoria Highway, a little rocky thru Gregory National park at the Western end of the Buchanan Highway. We towed a Willow Ironbark (similar to Jayco Silverline) and had no issues. 65kph average speed was a good pace.
