A good walk and one to take your time to enjoy the scenery (and catch your breath) suggest you start from the toilet end of the picnic area as this is steeper and best avoided on returning if doing the loop. Falls are very pretty and good to have a handrail on the steepest section.
Laps of Maps
The walk down starts at Federal Falls Camping Area. The total loop is 4km in total and requires a good level of fitness and coordination. During the last 350m, the walk tracks down uneven steep steps. The view of the waterfall is simply incredible, and is one of the best in nsw.
