Visit the suburbs by going to third settlement reserve which is a nice little park and perfect for a BBQ. The best time to go is during Australia Day. It's a great way to meet locals and it's not a busy place. This is worth the trip (not to far away from here) and a great way to emerge in Australia culture.

The visitor center wasn't super helpful. The lady would just show me to a bunch of brochures. Couldn't tell me what are the best sites to see in the time I have. Only told me to get the hop on hop off bus that costs $120
