Description
Ski Beach picnic area is a fantastic spot to picnic with your family at the old Murray River punt site, and only minutes from town. The picnic area, in Murray Valley Regional Park, boasts a great river view with a sandy beach, and river red gum shade.
The picnic area is a short walk from either Cobram or Barooga, and is well-equipped with barbecues and picnic tables. After a tasty barbecue lunch, you could take a peaceful walk along the river or enjoy a cooling dip. If you've brought your fishing rod along, you can try your luck at a spot of fishing. For those interested in local history, its also the site of the river punt, constructed in 1889 to carry people and animals across the river.
Parking is available at Ski Beach picnic area, including parking for motorhomes and caravans.
Dogs are permitted.
No camping or overnight parking.

Day use area great for swimming. Take your rubbish with you.

Beautiful area with lovely walks. Close to both river towns. Shame it's a dumping ground for litter and dog shit. We picked up a few bags of rubbish, including condoms and hygiene wipes. (Wipes take hundreds of years to break down.) Popular for Maccas rubbish, Also convenient to throw your rubbish out the window when crossing the causeway.
