Very nice picnic stop. Quiet, tables in shade, bubbling creek! Water from bubbler. Only minor downside was that mens toilet was a bit smelly and could do with clean up.

MarLyn: he was right out of line and should be reported. You can even rest there overnight if he wants to get belligerent! Local Govt Act 1993 Sect 632 (2A) (b) Additionally theres the recommended rest after 2 hours driving.

In fact, this spot is Bendemeer Rodeo Park. Memorial Park is opposite the Bendemeer Hotel (very impressive pub) over the other side of the river, and is a day only spot. Rodeo Park is overnight, 24 hrs only. Beautiful spot next to the river with toilets and water points. Don't know if the water is drinking quality. Recommended.
