Stayed 2 nights mid week. Was absolutely stunning. Well maintained, mowed for about 50m from waters edge. Bush camped right on the water, so much room. We took our fishing boat, launched it off the 'boat ramp' in the bush camping area, quite shallow and needed to go a fair way into the lake. In saying that, we definitely could have taken the boat to the main boat ramp to launch it. Left the boat in, just pulled up and tied off. Due to the water level, we had to walk 5 metres into the water before hopping into the boat as it was so shallow and the boat would not come to the shore. Lovely staff, cheap. 2 nights for $42. Open fire and can collect wood for free from around the park. Absolutely loved the stay here. Will be back!

Drove out from Tamworth to check it out with the kids. Also to see if we wanted to come out and stay, needed a $15 day pass just to drive past the gate. No thanks, would prefer to explore freely and spend more than that to support local small businesses :)

Nice Park, clean and plenty of room, had a nice 2 night stay.
