Description

Located on the lake, by the sea, is Camp Elim. We are a christian camp site and can accommodate both holiday makers and groups, whether it is school groups, church camps, or even groups only wanting to be here during the day. For holiday makers we have a number of different cabins and powered sites available, along with lots of different activities that you can do. We also have a holiday program running through the Christmas holidays. For groups, we have cabins and activities, we also provide catering for meals and provide flexibility on activities to suit the camp better. We are tucked away in the Booti Booti National Park, on a narrow strip of land between Green Point and Tiona. We enjoy a lake that that caters for many water activities on one side, and a long beach with excellent surf and fishing on the other.

If being by a lake and near beaches in a family friendly, clean, modest park appeals to you, this place has you covered. It's not flash, but it's well maintained and affordable. The Friday night I stayed, kids were running around being noisy up until 9:30pm, which was okay by me, but thank goodness for the curfew that brought tranquility to the setting! No alcohol/tobacco policy kept the air fresh and the vibe relaxed. Mosquito repellant a must!

Family bike travels

Great place to stay and they were very accomodating to us when we required last minute accomodation over the busy Christmas period. Location is stunning and kids enjoyed the kayak hire and the water tennis. The alcohol free and smoke free park wasn't a problem for us but not allowing kids on bikes was a strange one for our bike loving family (good to be aware if booking).

Can't recommend at all. Stayed here in a tent site during an albeit busy period but we were shoehorned in amongst 22 other sites that are four-deep in a long row so we had campers on all four sides. The camp-sites are not generous at all - just 7m x 5m. So it was impossible to relax with that many people around and many kids running around close our tent. Also we were very close to the basketball court so that meant constant "doink doink" of basketballs AND bright floodlights over the whole site until 9.30pm. Also inconsiderate campers making early noise between 6am and 7am despite the noise curfew until 8am. We paid for two nights but stayed for only one - grateful to leave!
