My guess is that there are no previous reviews because this national park is so hard to find. Don't follow your gsp, you must enter from the pin on the Oxley Rd. There is no NPWS sign at the turn off. You'll find the info board about 500mtrs in. Once there, it's a mixed bag. Lake Ita Cultural Centre is a couple of shelters and bbqs. I couldn't find any cultural information. The abandoned homestead is worth a visit. The Lachlan River Visitor Centre is a camp area with a new drop loo and shelter. The cultural walk consists of a couple of info boards here and there in the scrub (if you can find them). The landscape is stunning though, remote camping is good, and the night sky goes on and on and is something to behold. Worth a visit if that appeals to you.

Thanks to Bussy's comment we found this lovely camp spot. 2 of the 4 campsites were not really useable due to water overflow from the river. River is very high. Beautiful peaceful spot with bird life & fishing (carp). Rained most of night & the road was then too boggy to leave. We stayed an extra night. Wouldn't have got out without 4WD.
